In this week’s episode, I discuss how people often confuse hoping for understanding with actually knowing if their message was received. I provide three key steps to ensure effective communication: making a clear and simple point, asking for feedback or playback from the audience, and connecting the message to what matters to them.

  • Don’t tell them it’s homework and be aware of your Elusive 600.
  • Focus on being interested and take note of what was difficult.

2.) Practice Mind Mapping

  • Fill out a BRIEF Map for an executive summary of what you did today in the course.
  • Provide a 60-second summary to someone, answering the question, “What did you do today?”.
