It’s time to set off an alarm: the world is going deaf. In this age of constant notifications and readily accessible information, we’ve become so distracted by noise that it threatens our existence. It’s becoming harder and harder to tune in to the essentials and tune out what drowns us.

It’s vital we address these weapons of mass distraction now.

But how? My newest book, Noise: Living and leading when nobody can focus (Wiley), provides practical answers. It is my goal to give you the tools you need to defend yourself against constant distraction. Let me arm you with resources to manage the noise in your life before it keeps managing you.

Check out the Noise Survival Guide for some simple things you can start now to improve your ability to focus and cultivate an inner sense of calm.

When people take steps to tune out noise, we see the following benefits:

  • Managers are better able to communicate with subordinates
  • Spouses talk to, rather than past, each other, ultimately improving relationships
  • Sales professionals truly understand what their prospects need
  • Progress, insight, and learning soar
  • We establish more real, authentic, and personal connections with others

Tuning out noise helps in many areas – the above list isn’t comprehensive. We all need to take action now to stop the incessant information consumption that will make us collectively deaf to one another.

The sooner you build tools for reducing noise and becoming more aware of what distracts you every day, the sooner you can take back control. There is no time like the present.

Noise will be released in early December, and it is currently available for presale.

In the coming weeks, we’ll continue to share free webinars, guides, and cheat sheets to help you manage noise. Join our mailing list to make sure you don’t miss anything.
